TGUI displays letters as blocks and rectangles

Hello,

So I'm trying to use TGUI and for some reason, the tgui log I make is displaying every letter of every word as a black rectangle. I've tried switching the size and font of the words, but to no avail. I also have a friend who is able to compile the exact same code and not get a blocky display, so I assume that it has to be an issue with my installation some how. Here is a picture of the problem - https://imgur.com/eQOt9lF . The relevant tgui portion is the box in the middle left of the screen - those 5 black boxes are supposed to be the word 'Hello'. Any ideas on what could be wrong here? Thanks!

This is most likely caused by a bad graphics driver, you should try to update it.

The two other times something similar was reported (see here and here) the outcome was that the problem was only on one pc/graphics card. So other than changing your drivers I don't think there is anything that I can recommend.
